- Occupation:
In the 19th Century, Singapore had a printing press in appalling conditions. The Colonial Secretary of Singapore, Cecil Clementi Smith (later appointed Governor and knighted) had served in Hong Kong as the Chinese Affairs Registrar and had befriended Delfino Noronha and his family. In about 1879 he invited Delfino's eldest son, Henrique Lourenço Noronha, to take over and improve the Government Printing Office on a 20-year contract. Henrique returned to Hong Kong in 1879; when his father Delfino died a year later, Henrique managed his father's printing business, Noronha & Co., until his own death in 1905.

Outros detalhes Other details:
- Married Name: De Noronha.
- Marriage*: Carlos Henrique de Noronha, son of Delfino Joaquim de Noronha and Umbelina Maria Basto, at Hong Kong.
- Note*: Corunna Noronha was born in 1860 in Tasmania. She was educated at a private school and was then expected to teach what she had learned to her younger sisters. When the Liliputian Company was formed in 1880 she took care of the wardrobe and helped with the children. After her marriage to Charles Noronha in 1884 (she had met him backstage after a performance by the Liliputians during their 1883-84 tour in India - probably Calcutta) she made her home in Hong Kong and lived in the family residence. Her first two children, Umbelina and Delfino were born there. She moved to Shanghai about 1897 or 1898 where Charles looked after his father's business interests in the printing firm 'Noronha & Sons'. A few years later (probably around 1900) she and Charles separated because of his drinking.Another move took her to Macao, along with the three children. There they lived near the Botanical Gardens, a pleasant, elevated location. Corunna taught English to the Portuguese naval officers in the Governor's house. A little later she moved back to Hong Kong - the children remained in Macao with an American missionary couple – to teach English to the children of a wealthy Anglo-Chinese businessman, Robert Ho Tung. When Delfino Noronha, Charles' father, died, José Pedro Braga, Charles' nephew and husband of Corunna's sister Olive, assisted Corunna in settling up the estate and secured the bulk of Charles' inheritance for her and their children. Around 1905 Corunna and Charles were reunited and began living in Manila. Although they had little social life in Hong Kong or Macao, in Manila the Noronhas numbered among their acquaintances and friends William H Taft, Manuel Quezon and Carlos Romulo. The Noronhas summered in Baguio, the presidential city.Corunna and Charles emigrated to the United States in 1930 and lived in Moundsville, West Virginia, until Corunna's death from a cerebral haemorrhage in 1936. She is buried in the Riverview Cemetery overlooking the Ohio River. Charles Noronha died on 8 December 1943.[Source: Grandson E.Morrison, Looking Up, Looking Down the Road, Triangle Press, 2000Editor's note: Forjaz Familias Macaenses, 1996 (Vol II, p822) lists five children: the first, Carmen, is not shown in Morrison's book. This discrepancy has yet to be sorted out.5
